Wildlife Sightings for 30th October 2023

A Linnet flying over the site south-west. A Water Rail and a Meadow Pipit calling from the reedbeds.

Common Gull in amongst the Lapwing on the main lake. Stonechat on the wader scrape.

29 October 2023

Redwing and Siskin around the sheltered lagoon. Red Kite over the marsh.

28 October 2023

Marsh Harrier over the grazing marsh. Lots of Wigeon on the reservoir lagoon and some Redwing flying over site.

27 October 2023

A Redpoll and a Reed Bunting in the reedbeds. Jack Snipe on the marsh.

26 October 2023

A Great Crested Grebe still around on the main lake. Lots of Wigeon gathering on the reservoir lagoon.

25 October 2023

40-50 migrating Redwing over the site in the early morning. A Skylark on the marsh. Lots of Snipe around site.

24 October 2023

Lots of Snipe around site, mainly on the wader scrape. Meadow Pipits, Water Pipit and Skylark on the marsh.

23 October 2023

Autumn migrants on the move including Siskin, Fieldfare and Redwing

Snipe, Little Egret and Chiffchaff all on the wader scrape.

A Dunlin on the main lake. Red Crested Pochard still on the reservoir lagoon. 10 Redwing on the south route.

Red-crested Pochard, Snipe , Whinchat and Stonechats spotted today.

19 October 2023

Common Sandpiper and Jack Snipe on the main lake. Redwing and Meadow Pipit flying west over the site.

A Red Crested Pochard on the reservoir lagoon. A Great Crested Grebe on the main lake.

1 Water Rail in the reedbeds. 1 Reed Bunting and 1 Blackcap on the reservoir lagoon bird feeders.
