Wildlife Sightings 13th November 2023
A Bittern on the edge of the main lake seen from the Headly Hide. Water Pipit and Pintail on the grazing marsh. The regular Kestrel hunting on the south route.

Goldeneye on the main lake. 7 Snipe flying over the marsh. Song Thrush and Redwing on the berries. Kestrel hunting around the visitors centre.

A Pied Wagtail flying over the reservoir lagoon. Lots of Wigeon gathering around the reservoir lagoon and marsh.

Reed Buntings in the main reedbeds. 2 Chiffchaff by the peacock tower and 25 Wigeon feeding on the marsh.

Reed Bunting on the south route and in the reedbeds. 40+ Meadow Pipit flying around over the site.

Good variety of gulls sheltering on the main lake. 2 Stonechat on the marsh reedbed border. Lots of fungi around the site. Bittern seen yesterday.
