More on admission prices, GiftAid and membership.
All our Wetland Centres exist to fulfil founder Peter Scott’s vision of connecting people with nature, so we make it a principle that our wetlands and wildlife are accessible to everyone.
More on accessibility.
Our Mere Side Café is open everyday from 9.30am to 4pm offering a breakfast menu until 11am that includes a full English breakfast. The lunch menu offers a selection of hot food choices and a range of child portions, snacks, drinks and ice-creams.
You can also browse a wide range of gifts, books, toys, bird care and optics in our gift shop. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to assist with help and advice, and every penny you spend in our shop supports our vital conservation work.
More on food, drink and shopping.
Unfortunately we can't allow dogs or pets of any kind on site, with the exception of Assistance dogs (trained by member organisations of ADUK) on duty, as our wildlife may become distressed.
Assistance dogs must be kept on their lead, under control and their harnesses must state "working or assistance dog". Please ensure any dog waste is removed. If any of our birds/animals behaviour is affected by the presence of your dog, we respectfully ask that you understand that we may have to ask you to move away from the area. Please do not leave your dog in your car whilst visiting.
