Martin Mere remains closed to the public but our staff and volunteers are still hard at work carrying out habitat management and feeding the swans. Kestrels, marsh harriers and barn owls still seen daily on the reserve.
The trees surrounding Janet Kear hide are alive with songbirds; including goldfinches, bullfinches, great and blue tits, with 2 great-spotted woodpeckers sighted there as well.
