Pick up our Wildlife Observation cards to help us keep an eye on the kingfisher pair who have made the Arun Riverlife lagoon their territory.
The pair were sitting on the far right perch in front on the nesting bank on Wednesday morning around 11 for quite a while giving visitors a lovely chance to see them from the Discovery hide and from the windows of the café seating area in the main gallery of our visitor centre. Last Sunday this pair chased another kingfisher off their territory!
Kingfishers have also been spotted along the channels of the boat safari on Wetlands Discovery area. A second pair?
Other signs of spring? Lapwings have been appearing regularly on the wet grassland at Lapwing and Ramsar hides.
