Fiendish fun is in store for little explorers during October half term at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
The Slimbridge Spooktacular (October 22 to November 1) includes all the fun of a normal day out at Slimbridge with lots of extra Halloween-themed activities.
Highlights of the Spooktacular include:
• Searching for the missing pumpkins hiding in WWT Slimbridge’s grounds. You can hand feed the friendly ducks you meet on your adventure.
• Watching the otters Flo, Minnie and Haha enjoying eating special treats out of carved pumpkins. They love to play with the pumpkin shells in and out the water!
• Visiting the Weirdly Wild tent to have a go at dissecting owl pellets, it’s fascinating what you’ll find. Then watch footage of animals filmed on camera traps at Slimbridge at night before going out with a warden to look for signs of them in the light including footprints and poo!
• Joining the wizard for a show and tell session with his amphibian pets. Frogs and salamanders have long being associated with magic and mystery.
• Arriving in fancy dress on the final weekend to really get in the spirit and take a scarecrow selfie with your family
• Carving a pumpkin during your visit or have your face painted (small extra charge).
