A bright Sunny day here at Welney, All hides are open except for Lyle hide which was damaged in last weekends storm, Reedbed hide is open but wellies will be needed on the path here.

Welney Sightings-10/02/2020
We have assessed the state of the reserve since Storm Ciara and the visitor centre and reserve are open today. All hides and footpaths are open except for Lyle hide, which will be out of action until the roof is repaired.

Today's sightings - 08/02/2020
With water levels dropping, all hides are now open, walking boots are needed to Friends hide, wellies to Reedbed. The summer walk and dragonfly ponds remain closed.

Sightings for Thursday 6th February 2020. Path between the main observatory and Friends hide now open, accessible with stout walking boots (muddy with puddles in places). Path to Reedbed hide remains closed.
