Recent Sightings (30th May-1st June)
A few notable sightings from the reserve during the past few days. 3 Spoonbills are still viewable from the British Steel Hide (1st June). Lesser Whitethroats have bred on the reserve with adults seen feeding recently fledged young near Hopkin's Folly. A

Today's rather wet sightings
Stop Press......... Great News Crane egg is hatching on the Rushy. One of the eggs is hatching the other still showing no sign of piping, at 32 to 33 days incubation this could well be the second egg. Also nice 2nd summer Med Gull At least 16 ad Avocet

Spoonbill new for the year
A Spoonbill dropped onto Vinson's Marsh early afternoon before flying South. Spoonbill are now pretty much annually occurring on the reserve. Our year list is now on 126 species. See previous days for a fuller picture of what can be seen on the reserve.

Recent Sightings (26th-29th May)
Millennium Wetlands A Spotted Flycatcher was seen this weekend on the reserve. Other summer visitors include 10 Whitethroat, 5 Swallow, 12 Chiffchaff, 11 Blackcap, 4 Sedge Warbler and 2 Lesser Whitethroat. There has also been 5 Reed Bunting and 6 Cetti's
