Middle Point

The male White-spotted Bluethroat has been very helpful to those viewing, it was singing again this morning + numerous Reed and Sedge Warblers in this area, singing Lesser Whitethroat in the hedge.

Estuary Tower

A distant party of small waders on the mud- 7 Sanderling, single Ringed Plover and Dunlin + 7 Dark-bellied Brent Geese again on the Dumbles foreshore this morning. Tack Piece- Wigeon and Teal drakes on the central flood.

South Lake

A pair of 'weed dancing' Great Crested Grebe remain today but favouring the far side on the deep lake + adult non-breeding and 2cy Mediterranean Gulls among the Black-headed Gulls, a Swift + House Martins and Swallows feeding over. The pair of Cranes have two chicks. A few Gadwall and Shoveler and two mating Egyptian Geese.

A Cuckoo sang in the Dolls Warth (car park).

Kingfisher Hide

Pair of Kingfishers still attending the nest.

Male White-spotted Bluethroat, Singing Garden Warbler between Stephen Kirk Hide and Estuary Tower, Kingfisher on the Pill Box Pool fence. Seven Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 8 Sanderling, 7 Ringed Plover and a Dunlin on the Top New Piece islands. a Common Sandpiper on the South Lake.

Top New Piece from Zeiss Hide

Reed and Cetti's Warblers, 9 Avocet, 4 Black Tailed Godwit, 1 Redshank, 28 Shelduck, 3 Shoveler, 16 Gadwall, 1 Great Egret, 1 Grey Heron, and Crane family. 1 Roe Deer.

Bottom New Piece-Zeiss Hide

Five Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Marsh Harrier. Cuckoo singing.

Kingfisher Hide

Adult Kingfisher taking fish into nest, 4 Tufted ducks, 1 Gadwall, singing Reed Buntings, Cettis and Reed Warblers.

Rushy Hide

15 Black-tailed Godwit, 59 Avocet, 6 Tufted Duck, 4 Gadwall and 1 Pochard.

Robbie Garnett Hide-Tack Piece-

12 Dunlin, 4 Tufted Duck, Egyptian and Barnacle Geese, Reed Warbler. Swallows and House Martins collecting mud, singles of Oystercatcher and Wigeon.

Bluethroat showing well; 100+ Dunlin, 2 Little Egret, Oystercatcher, Reed and Sedge Warblers in reedbed, 2 Meadow Pipit, singing Skylarks, Chiffchaff and Lesser Whitethroat
