Linoprinted Greeting Cards

Create a beautiful selection of lino printed greetings cards inspired by Slimbridge and nature with Christine Felce.

Suitable for complete beginners wanting to learn how to lino print, or improvers looking to further their skills.

Date: Saturday 12 October

Time: 10am - 4pm

You will spend the day cutting two 10 cm square blocks of lino that can be used to print together or singularly. There will be lots of individual tuition, with the opportunity to print your cards on a portable press as well as being shown how to print by hand.

Christine will guide you on how to work with different colours and add mono printing techniques to embellish your hand-made cards.

You will have a pack of 10 cards with envelopes plus lots of paper experiments to practice with.

All inks used are water washable.

Please bring an apron to protect your clothes on the day.

Christine is an artist printmaker who works mainly with mixed media printmaking. Her work has developed in public forums to create print-based installations.

Teaching and sharing skills are an important part of her work, teaching etching, screen printing and collagraph. She has also taught printmaking at West Dean College.

Christine has recently been working on an installation entitled Activist Alphabet consisting of 26 prints and poems motivated by the climate crisis, which has been made into a book and is being exhibited internationally.

Christine’s philosophy for teaching is to encourage and learn by experimenting with the wonderful medium of print. Design and make your own blocks to recreate your own bespoke greetings cards.
